  • August 15, 2009 - 10:00-11:00 -" Anchor Shrubs and Grasses”
    This workshop will take the fear out of expanding your green space!  Learn the basic's about choosing the plant material that's right for your garden or area. Hear the tricks of the trade that are used by landscape contractors everywhere!
  • August 22, 2009 - 11:00-12:00 -  Raspberry Fields to Explore
    This is the first year our PYO Raspberry Field is open to the public. Examine some of the new varieties now available in the nursery and how they have preformed in the field.  Our talented staff will be available to answer your questions. 
  • September 5, 2009 -  10:00-4:00 - Vermont Travel Gardens
    Bring your own containers or purchase from us ...the potting table will be set up. Pick from our large selection of Fall Color. Plant your own window boxes, container gardens, or hanging baskets.  You provide the labor & leave the clean up to us!
  • September 5, 2009 -  3:00 - Fall Forest Exploration
    As the trees start preparing for winter, the Vermont forest undergoes many changes. Join Rockhopper Outdoor Education at The Boyd Family Farm. Investigation of animal activity, and survival tactics used by wildlife as winter approaches will be the main focus. Call Rockhopper to register (802) 368 7203  $5 adults, $3 children or $15 per carload.
  • Sept. 13, 2009 -  All Day - "It's Grandparents Day… Celebrate with Fall Color"
    Celebrate the colors of the season! Potted Sunflowers, Mums, Pumpkins, Corn Stalks, Ornamental Kale and Cabbage & Hay Bales. Join us in exploring the many ways to make our homes look festive during the harvest season!  Family Photo Opportunities!
  • Oct. 10, 2009 - 11:00-12:00 - Perennial Plants to Prune in the Fall
    Even in colder climates, it can be nice to leave some perennials standing throughout the fall and winter months. The seeds of some plants will attract and feed the birds.  Some hold snow like frosting and others provide winter color.
